Mad4Mod, LLC ("Mad4Mod", "we", "us") is a Michigan-based dealer in mid-century modern furniture and decor. This policy explains what information this website collects and how we use it. We keep it simple: we collect very little.
Visit statistics. We count which pages are viewed, where visitors come from (for example, a search engine or Etsy), and roughly where in the world a visit comes from, at country or region level. These counts are anonymous totals and don't identify you. Separately, to count how many different people visit, we use one small cookie (see "Cookies" below). It does not contain your name or any personal details, and we don't use it to identify you.
Your approximate location. To work out the country or region a visit comes from, we look up your IP address in a geolocation database. We use the result for aggregate statistics and to decide whether to ask for your consent to our cookie (see below). We do not store your IP address as part of those statistics.
Information you send us. If you contact us by phone, text, Etsy or in person, we receive whatever you choose to tell us, such as your name, phone number and the pieces you're interested in. We use it only to reply to you and to arrange purchases, holds, deliveries or visits.
Technical information. Like most websites, our servers automatically record basic technical information when a page is requested (such as IP address, browser type and the page requested). We use it to keep the site secure and working properly.
| Cookie | Purpose | Lifetime | Set when |
|---|---|---|---|
| Consent choice | Remembers whether you accepted or declined | 1 year | You click "Sounds good" or "No thanks" on the cookie banner |
| Visitor cookie | Counts unique visitors, anonymously | 1 year | You accept, or you are located somewhere we don't ask first (see below) |
We decide whether to show you a cookie banner based on the country your visit appears to come from, which we determine from your IP address using a geolocation database.
Because location is estimated from your IP address, it can occasionally be wrong (for example, when you use a VPN). If you'd rather not have the visitor cookie, you can block or delete cookies for this site in your browser at any time. The banner will reappear if you clear the consent choice and are in one of the regions where we ask.
Visit statistics are kept in aggregate form for about two years. To count unique visitors, we store only a one-way scrambled value (a hash) that combines your cookie with the current date, so it can't be linked from one day to the next. We never store your IP address as part of our statistics. Messages and purchase details are kept for as long as needed to handle your inquiry or order and meet our legal and tax obligations.
All information described in this policy is stored in the United States. If you visit this site from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and stored in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those where you live.
You can decline cookies, delete cookies in your browser, or ask us what information we hold about you and to delete it. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local privacy laws. To exercise any of them, contact us using the details below.
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
If we change how we handle information, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
